Swim Coaches
CHESLYN - HEAD COACH
Cheslyn is thrilled to be returning to Raintree for a fourth coaching season! She is a senior at Glen Allen High School where she is a part of the Center for Education and Human Development, which fosters her love of working with children. She is headed to Virginia Tech in the fall where she will major in Elementary Education and Psychology. Swimming has been a passion of Cheslyn for thirteen years and is also an enthusiastic captain of her school’s varsity swim team. When Cheslyn is not in the pool, you can find her babysitting, playing violin, creating something, or spending time with friends at a coffee shop.
ELLIE - HEAD ASSISTANT COACH
This is Ellie’s 3rd season coaching and will be her 12th season swimming at Raintree. She has been swimming since she was 5 years old and did year-around swimming for 4 years. Ellie has been part of multiple clubs at her school, and youth programs at her church. Ellie is finishing her junior year at Godwin High School and enjoys her psychology and history classes. When Ellie is not at school, you can find her playing with her dogs, hanging out with her friends, or reading a good book. She is super excited to be coaching and helping out again this summer! Go Rapids!!!
MICHAEL - ASSISTANT COACH
This will be Michael’s 2nd season coaching at Raintree and his 3rd season swimming for them. He has been swimming year-around with Nova consecutively since he was 5 years old, meaning this year is also his 12th year for swimming in general. This dedication drives his commendable feat of waking up at 4 a.m every morning during the school year and the summer for swim practice. Michael is currently a junior at Patrick Henry High School, where he enjoys hanging out with his friends. He academically excels in his Physics and Calculus classes. When he is not swimming or studying, he enjoys his time by teaching tennis clinics and lifeguarding at Rockville, both of which he has done for 3 years. Michael has worked with kids for years and is excited to be coaching at Raintree again this summer!
KAITLYNN- ASSISTANT COACH
ANNABELLE - JUNIOR ASSISTANT COACH
This is Kaitlynn’s 3rd year coaching for Raintree and 7th year on the team. She has been swimming year round for 6 years at the YMCA and has also been a part of her school team for 3 years. Kaitlynn is finishing her junior year at Maggie Walker where she enjoys her science and language classes. In her spare time Kaitlynn loves to volunteer with her local Girl Scout troop, go on runs with her dog, and read a good book by the pool. She looks forward to another great swim season!
This is Annabelle’s second year coaching and she is super excited! This will be her 8th summer swimming at Raintree, but she has been swimming since she was 5 years old. Annabelle is a rising sophomore at St. Catherine’s, and has been swimming for her school for 3 years. She also is a member of her school track team. In her free time she enjoys babysitting and spending time with her friends. Annabelle can’t wait to help out again this season!
